The Adventures of Adam Atom – Saturday Night Fever!

Yes, peeps, YES! It’s time! Back by popular demand, it’s time once again to hang onto your hadrons, fasten your safety quarks, buckle up your buckeyballs, and I now give you in real spacetime continuum – (may I have a Big Bang, please) …

BANG!

big bang

The ONE – the Only – the I Am that I Am atomically and anatomically smashing-

Adam Atom!

Adam Atom 2

It’s 1977 and I’m like totally into disco dancing. Yep. Got into it cuzthree tits woman my girlfriend, Molly Molecule, she’s this dynamic disco queen diva and if I wanted to get next to her I had to be cool. Very cool. Not every day you get a chance to bag a babe with this much equipment!

So but anyway, I’m catching a cool breeze, floatin’ as an oxygen molecule in midnight downtown Manhattan, headin’ for the hottest club in town, “Shake Your Booty Shack” - gonna meet up with Molls & do the hustle all night. Dang this breeze is slooooow – oh wait – here comes a … yes!

flying pigeonJust hitched a ride on a pigeon wing. Much better. Keep flappin’ birdy boy, faster, faster, good … now please land in front of the club? Right about here, slower, slower, aaaaaaand … wonderful!

Italian Shoes

He lands, flaps his wings, releasing me to the sidewalk, and here comes some hip dude to step on me, now I’m Italian leather.

Groovy. Got me a free pass into the hippest bar in the Big Apple. Love it.Molly Molecule

Oh – there’s Molls right now – this is how she looks to me-

Ain’s she just adorable?

Wait – who is that schmuck she’s dancing with?

John TravoltaOh gawd, no – not that dirty dancing Italian stud King of Disco wannabe with the ridiculous chin! Let me just get caught up in a puff of cigarette smoke and waft over there to cut in. The nerve of some -

Uh oh! Oh no! Dimple chin’s lighting up and inhaling – I’m getting close – too close – at the point of over the lips and into …

Crap. Now what? Now I’m inside this dildo’s head, and instead of dancing with my sweetheart all night I’m a bit of nicotine and heading straight to the brain. Hate that.

Anu the Sumerian Sky God

Human brains are the hardest, densest, most difficult to get out of regions in the known universe. Last time I was brain matter it was inside the head of Lord Anu, the diabolical ruler of Planet X. Took me decades to get out of that numbskull.

And just add insult to injury? The DJ just put on me & Moll’s favorite song, The Bee Gees’ “Staying Alive.” Drat.

Ouch!

Just got shocked with a synapse … it’s so dark in here … sigh, so much for a great night on the town.

I gotta get a plan. Gotta get outa here. But this dude is so headstrong!

Yeek! … Synapped again!

Lordy, lordy … what will become of me? And the thoughts goin’ on in here … spooookey! Horrible images … so graphic, and wait … zombies? What the …

***

Will Adam Atom be able to bust out of this brain lock? What dangers lurk in the skull of the King of Disco that threaten him? Is there any possible plan of escape before he falls prey to evil, dark forces?

Find out all this and much more – tomorrow, at The Quirky Loon’s blog,

when the Quirkster will post, in her own inimitable, knee-slapping, zombified and way out there in the left field of distortion reality style, the exciting conclusion of this latest epic episode in the continuing-

Umm, hmm, do I share my truth? Yup. I like John Travolta. And I loved disco. Wouldn’t want to be trapped in that world, but I did love it while it was here. I feel like an alien sometimes.

If it’s a choice between killer zombies and the Disco Dude, I think I’d go for the killer zombies. It’s always exciting to see where Adam Atom will go next. He leads a wild and crazy life.

Wow – Adam sure does get around, but I never would’ve predicted running into John Travolta! That’s such a Phenomenon! How’d he get mixed up with a sweathog like that? Well, if he plays his cards right he can Get Shorty while still Stayin’ Alive. I don’t know, sounds like Pulp Fiction to me!

    Nancy, from Realms of Thought…
